Herders Crisis: Miyetti Allah Issues Directive To Gov. Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has been attacked by the former National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (South West)’ Eddy Olafeso, over the crisis affecting the party in the region.

Olafeso in his statement stated that the failure of Makinde to invite some leaders of the party to the meeting held in Ibadan was responsible for the attendance of the Lagos meeting called by former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

Makinde has the support of the Ondo State chapter of the party while Olafeso and other party chieftains in the state are in support of the meeting organised by Fayose.

According to Olafeso, the party’s constitution made provisions for the number of persons to attend PDP zonal meetings.

The PDP chieftain who expressed optimism that the crisis would soon be resolved, called on party members in Ondo state to work towards the unity of the party instead of further polarizing the already fractured party in the state.

Olafeso warned that any attempt to begin to black mail Ondo PDP members to trump up charges against them would be rebuffed.
