Shehu Sani Reacts As Gunmen Kill Traditional Ruler, Son In Kaduna State

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has described Tuesday’s killing of a Kaduna traditional ruler and his son by gunmen as another tragedy.

The former lawmaker who took to his Twitter account on Tuesday to react to the sad incident prayed for the soul of the departed to rest in peace and sent condolences to their family.

He wrote: “The report of the murder of the Hakimin Gidan Zaki Mr Haruna Kuye and his son Destiny kuye by Gunmen in Zangon Kataf, Southern Kaduna is yet another tragedy. May their souls Rest In Peace. My condolences to their family.”

It will be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that yet to be identified gunmen stormed Ma-zakki, a community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the state, and gunned down the district head of Gidan Zaki, Haruna Kuye and his son.

It was further learnt that the wife of the late district head was left with severe injuries from machete cuts while her daughter sustained a wound on her finger from a stray gunshot.

Confirming the incident in a statement to newsmen, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, revealed that the act was carried out by about five men wielding AK-47 rifles and machetes, who also tried to burn the house and a vehicle.
