President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BOFI) Act 2020 into law. This was made known in a statement sent to Naija News and signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

2. ICPC Boss, Adesina, 71 Other Lawyers Named Senior Advocate of Nigeria (FULL LIST)

Mr. Bolaji Owasanoye, chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), was on Friday named Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). Naija News reports that the Legal Practitioner’s Privilege Committee (LPPC) on Friday named Owosanoye, Mahmud Kola Adesina and 71 others as SANs.

Lawmakers in the Imo State House of Assembly, on Friday impeached the Speaker of the house, Chiji Collins, over financial impropriety, high handedness, and gross misconduct. It was reported that the speaker was removed from office during a plenary at the legislative chamber of the Assembly complex in Owerri, the state capital.

The House of Representatives has opened an investigation into an employment irregularity discovered at the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). A discovery by the lawmakers unveiled that Lantewa Fatsuma Lawal, a deputy director of accounts at the BPP was allegedly born in 1996 but reportedly gained employment in 1992.
