Character Defamation: Court Orders Toke Makinwa To Pay Ex-Husband ₦1m

A Lagos High Court at the Tafawa Balewa Square has ordered On Air Personality (OAP) Toke Makinwa to pay ex-lover and fitness entrepreneur Maje Ayida N1 million for defamation.

Justice Olukayode Ogunjobi gave Makinwa and her publisher 30 days to delete the said defamatory words from unsold copies of the book in their custody.

Naija news recalls that the media girl recounted how she was heartbroken after finding out that her ex-husband, Maje Ayide had gotten someone pregnant.
The multi-talented media personality made this known while jumping on the ‘Heartbreak experience’ trend on Twitter.

According to her, the news of her former husband’s infidelity shocked her.
