Six #EndSARS protesters who were arrested in front of the National Assembly complex, Abuja on November 6, have regained their freedom.

The six protesters identified as Oluwatosin Adeniyi, Paul Akinwumi, Davo Chomo, Abdulsalam Zuberu, Kabiru Gasali, and Yasiru Bashir, were granted bail by a magistrate’s court in Wuse, Abuja.

Earlier, the court refused to grant bail to the protesters, and  ordered that they be remanded in prison till January 2021.

However, it turned around today, and granted bail to each of the six defendants in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum after the defence counsel, Tope Akinyode filed a bail application.

The Presiding magistrate, Abdurazak Eneye who ordered that the sureties must deposit the N50,000 bail sum at the court registry, also ruled that the surety to be presented by each of the defendants must be Nigerian citizens with a verifiable means of identification and documents showing their means of livelihood which must be deposited at the court too.
