Governor Nyesom Enzo Wike on Sunday played host to southeast governors at the Rivers State Government House.
Naija News gathered that the southeast governors were led to the meeting by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State.
Though the reason for the meeting was yet to be disclosed, it was gathered that the meeting was in connection with the recent activities of hoodlums identified by security agencies as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State.
Governor Wike had declared war on members of the proscribed IPOB after claiming that the #EndSARS protest was peaceful in Rivers until members of the group hijacked the demonstration and took laws into their hands.
He lamented the destruction caused by suspected IPOB members under the guise of the #EndSARS protest, adding that the outlawed pro-Biafra group killed six soldiers and four policemen in Oyigbo, Rivers.
Wike was also accused group of burning all the police stations in Oyigbo including an Area Command, 50 police vehicles, hospitals, and a court.
