The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to Nigerians to continue to understand and bear with them as they strive to fulfill promises made to them. The appeal was made in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Friday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed who represented the President.

2. Lagos Panel Begins Review of CCTV Footage of Lekki Shooting

The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters has begun watching surveillance video of the shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki too gate on October 20, 2020. Recall that soldiers were accused of shooting at #EndSARS protesters, injuring and killing some, an allegation the military has denied despite video evidence on social media.

3. COVID-19: Over 35 Million Recoveries, Statistics Reveal

Statistics have shown that over 35 million out of over 49 million diagnosed cases of COVID-19 have so far recovered from the infection globally. Worldometer, a global statistics platform, reported that total recoveries to be 35,072,000, which represents 71 percent of the 49,170,000 people that have contracted the virus.

Nigeria now has a total of 20 Supreme Court Justices after the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad on Friday, swore in 8 new Supreme Court Justices. The eight new justices of the Supreme Court took their oath of office and oath of allegiance to the Nigerian Constitution at their swearing-in ceremony presided over by the CJN on Friday.

5. Lekki Shooting: Army Backtracks On Decision To Appear Before Panel

The Nigerian Army has reportedly accepted the invitation of the Lagos State Panel of Inquiry probing the alleged shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters by soldiers on October 20 at the Lekki tollgate. Naija News reports that the Nigerian Army had earlier stated that they would not honour the invitation of the Judicial panel.

6. #EndSARS: Court Grants CBN’s Request To Freeze Accounts Of SavvyRinu, 19 Others (Full List)

The request of the Central Bank of Nigeria seeking to freeze accounts of 19 Nigerians and public affairs company linked to the End SARS protests has been granted by a Federal High Court in Abuja. According to Channels, the request which was filed before the court on October 20 was granted by Justice Ahmed Mohammed.

7. US Election: German Observers Accuses Trump Of Abuse Of Office

The head of an international observer mission to the United States elections, Michael Link, has accused the nation’s president and Republican nominee, Donald Trump, of a “gross abuse of office”. Link made the accusation on Thursday amid allegations by the president that he was being cheated in the race for the presidency.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja where he presented reports of the aftermath of the recent #EndSARS Protest in his State. The Governor was received in Abuja by the President himself.

The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has today warned youths who took part in #EndSARS protests across the country to be careful, saying that was exactly how terrorist group, Boko Haram started. Zulum, whose state is the boiling point for the insurgents said it all started when the youths commenced a protest against the use of motorcycle helmets in the state capital, Maiduguri.

A woman, Etiennette Ajoluje has taken to Facebook to she the encounter she had with young commercial sex workers in a brothel, located at a slum in Lagos. Ajoluje who visited the brothel today, Nov 6, said the ladies there make an average of N5000 daily from sleeping with 5 – 7 men.
