US Election: Biden To Name Blinken, Others In New Cabinet (Full List)

United States House of Representatives Speaker, Nancy Pelosi on Friday described former Vice President Joe Biden as the US “president-elect”.

Speaking to reporters after Biden overtook President Donald Trump in the potentially decisive state of Pennsylvania, Pelosi said: “President-Elect Biden has a strong mandate to lead.”

Biden on Friday overcame the president’s lead in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, putting him in a position to win its 20 electoral votes.

A win in Pennsylvania would give Biden the presidency, as he currently holds at least 253 while Trump’s hold 213 of the 270 electoral votes needed.

The US president had made fraud allegations without evidence, including on Thursday night, forcing Twitter to slap warning labels on a series of his tweets.

However, reports emerged on Friday afternoon of a vote recount in Georgia were the lead between Biden and Trump too close to call.
