US Election Has Exposed America’s Imperfections – Shehu Sani

Former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, on Friday reacted to rigging allegation levelled against the Democratic Party by President Donald Trump.

Sani in a post on Twitter noted that the presidential election has exposed the vulnerability of the US democracy.

Trump had on Thursday claimed that he won the electoral process through legal votes and threatened to approach court.

The US President in his address on Thursday had claimed he was hearing reports of Democrats manipulating the exercise.

Sani in his reaction to the development wrote, “American model of democracy has been a reference point for standard, order and responsibility. It has been an example for freedom and good conduct.”

“We all now know about its imperfections and vulnerabilities. Like in everything else, pick the good and take lessons from the bad.”
