Major challenger of United States President, Donald Trump in the ongoing presidential election, Joe Biden, has said he is optimistic about the final outcome of the polls.

The Democrat who spoke live from Wilmington, Delaware on Tuesday night, said neither he nor Trump could declare who the next US president will be but the decision of the citizens.

Meanwhile, incumbent President Donald Trump had earlier accused his opponents of electoral malpractices in Tuesday presidential election.

Naija News reports that the Republican accused his opponents of casting more votes after polls are closed.

However, speaking on the outcome of the polls, Biden said that it is the place of the American people to decide who their next president would be through the ballots.

“We know this is gonna go long but who knows if it is gonna go longer. But we feel good about where we are. We believe we are on track to win this election,” said Biden.

He added, “We know because beyond president’s early votes, the mailing votes is going to take a while. We gonna have to be patient until the hard work of counting votes is finished, until every vote is counted. But we’re feeling good about where we are.

“It’s not my place or Donald Trump’s place to declare the winner of this election. That’s the decision of the American people. But I am optimistic about this outcome.”
