The activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), operators of motorcycles (Okada) and tricycles (Keke Marwa) in Ajegunle area has been banned by the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State.

This development was disclosed to newsmen in a statement by the council chairman, Fatai Adekunle Ayoola who noted that the decision is linked with the ongoing investigations into the recent cases of looting, arson, and destruction of buildings, properties, bank facilities, and vehicles inside the council secretariat.

Ayoola added that the ban will remain in place until the conclusion of investigations into the incidents.

According to the local government boss, the Lagos State Commissioner of Poice Hakeem Odumosu, NURTW Lagos Council Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), other stakeholders and security agents are well carried along in the development.
