Governor Godwin Obaseki has announced the relaxing of the curfew imposed on Edo State to between 10 pm and 6 am daily.

Obaseki made this known in a statement on Tuesday by his Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr Crusoe Osagie.

The Edo State government stated that the latest adjustment takes effect from Tuesday.

 “The state government has further reviewed the curfew time in the state to commence from 10 pm to 6 am daily, as against 6 pm to 6 am,” the statement reads.

“The adjustment will be effective from Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

“The government is fully committed to the security of lives and property and is working with security agencies to ensure peace and order is fully restored in the state.”

Naija News recalls that Obaseki had imposed a 24-hour curfew following violence that occurred when thugs infiltrated the peaceful #EndSARS protest to destroy govenment properties.

This led to the release of prisoners in some top prisons in Edo State.
