COVID-19 Trial Vaccine Administered On UAE Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed – [Photo]

Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was on Tuesday, November 3 administered the trial version of the COVID-19 vaccine produced by the UAE medical teams.

The Sheikh confirmed this in a post on his verified Twitter account today, sharing a photo of medical personnel administering the trial vaccine on him.

He shared; “While receiving the COVID-19 vaccine today. We wish everyone safety and great health, and we are proud of our teams who have worked relentlessly to make the vaccine available in the UAE. The future will always be better in the UAE.”

Maktoum, however, did not reveal if the COVID-19 trial vaccine has been approved for use by the World Health Organisation or not.

Naija News understands that the world at large is with great expectation for a reliable vaccine to treat the Coronavirus disease following the outbreak of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, has tested positive for coronavirus.

The DG of WHO announced this on his verified Twitter account on Monday, November 2, Naija News reports.
