BREAKING: 'Kill Pastor Adeboye Before The Sun Rises If...' - RCCG Members Pray At 2023 Convention

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, has described as laughable the move by the Nigerian government to adopt China’s method in dealing with the issue of social media use in the country.

The respected clergyman while speaking at his Church’s headquarters on Sunday on a message titled “Better days ahead”, through the Assistant General Overseer (Admin. & Personnel) and member of the governing council, Pastor Johnson Odesola, suggests that the government should only ensure contents circulating the social media are genuine.

Adeboye noted that China’s regulation would not work here in Nigeria, noting that the variables are different in totality.

He said, “The best the government can do is to ensure that the news being carried through the social media is genuine but to want to replicate what is happening in China here in Nigeria is laughable and would not be possible here.”

Meanwhile, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church has thrown his support behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government’s resolve to regulate the social media, Naija News reports.
