Nigeria Air Plane To Arrive On Friday – FG Announces

Senator Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, has announced that the federal government would be giving out N5bn bailout it approved for the operators of the Aviation sector.

He made this known on Monday at the opening of a three-day public hearing on the six executive bills meant to reorganise the civil aviation agencies in the country.

The Minister of Aviation stated that the disursement of the bailout funds would soon commence.

According to Sirika, airline operators would get N4bn while other businesses in the Aviation sector would be given N1bn.

Naija News reports that the Senate also stated that the money would not be enough to keep the airline operators in business.

Lawmaker had also called on the federal government to shelve plans to concession some airports in Nigeria.

This online news platform reports that the Aviation sector took a major hit following the lockdown and shutting down of Nigeria’s airport in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
