Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo has recovered from dreaded COVID-19 disease.

Ronaldo’s Coronavirus second result was confirmed negative in a statement released by his club on Friday, October 30.

“Ronaldo carried out a check with a diagnostic test (swab) for Covid-19. The exam provided a negative result,” the Italian champions noted.

“The player has, therefore, recovered after 19 days and is no longer subjected to home isolation.”

Naija News recalls that the 35-year-old player had first tested positive for Covid-19 on October 13 while playing in a friendly match for his home country national team.

The Portugal captain had been in self-isolation since returning to Italy and has missed four games including Wednesday’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Lionel Messi’s Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Netherlands national team captain, Virgil van Dijk, has successfully undergone surgery on his knee following an injury he had a few days ago while playing for his club, Liverpool FC.
