Ekiti Govt Relaxes Curfew, Announces New Movement Hours

Ekiti State government has relaxed the curfew earlier imposed in the state as a result of the violence that happened in the previous week.

Governor Kayode Fayemi announced this in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Mr Akinbowale Omole on Monday, October 26.

According to Omole, the 24-hour curfew has been reviewed and would hence be active from within the hour of 8pm to 6am. The statement read; “This is to inform the general public in Ekiti State that the state government has reviewed the period of the ongoing curfew.”

“It is now from dusk to dawn, starting from 8 pm to 6 am. All members of the public are to go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation.”

Meanwhile, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has dismissed the report that he makes income from the Lekki toll gate.

The former Governor of Lagos State stated this in a statement titled ‘The End SARS protests; a fundamental lesson in democratic governance’.
