Why Buhari Didn’t Speak On Lekki Shootings – Femi Adesina

President Muhammadu Buhari Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has revealed why his principal did not address the Lekki toll gate shooting in his nationwide broadcast on Thursday.

Recall that President Buhari in his #EndSARS speech failed to address the shooting of innocent of Nigerians at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday night.

The presidential aide while speaking on Channel Tv noted that Buhari couldn’t have spoken on the shooting because its under investigation.

He said: “The Defence Headquarters issued a statement to say that it was investigating the matter. Lagos State Governor has also set up a probe panel to investigate what really happened.”

“So, the President couldn’t have said anything because it would be premature and presumptuous while investigation is ongoing. It is after investigation has been concluded that he can speak on the matter.”
