Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Nigeria national team, Ugochukwu John Ogu, has condemned the killings of peaceful #EndSARS protesters in the country.

The 32-year-old Lagos-born footballer while reacting to the recent massacre of Nigerian youths at the Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday, said the politicians should ask their children to represent the nation in the next Super Eagles matches and competitions.

Naija News understands that Ogu’s statement implies that he is no longer interested in representing the nation via the game of footballer as a result of the recent bloodshed under the present administration.

Expressing his grievance on the development, Ogu wrote; “The Politicians should ask their children to go and represent Nigeria in the next @NGSuperEagles, @thenff upcoming games.”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has debunked reports that four Super Eagles players have tested positive for the ravaging coronavirus disease.
