Funke Akindele Reveals Truth About Eniola Badmus’ Death Rumour

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele Bello, has confirmed that her colleague, Eniola Badmus is not dead as widely speculated in some section of the Nigerian media.

Naija News understands that reports emerged late Tuesday night that the actress was shot dead at Lekki toll gate where #EndSARS protesters were killed by soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

However, a Twitter user @Moyosoreoluwae who is close to her family revealed that Eniola Badmus is not dead as alleged.

She tweeted: “I have contacted someone around Eniola Badmus. She is home and well, please. Quit this news going round! I have taken so many calls that almost made me pass out!!!!

“In case you still want proof. Here is one of the conversations I had to confirm Eniola Badmus’s safety,“ she tweeted.

Rechoeing the same statement made by the twitter user, Mrs Bellodenied the reports that Badmus may have been hurt in the shootout that occurred at the Lekki toll gate after speculations that the actress may had been part of the protesters were hit by a bullet.

However, when contacted by PUNCH newspaper via the telephone, Eniola Badmus’ number was busy, which made the newspaper to contact her close friend, Funke Akindele-Bello who  allayed the fears of her fans and friends as she disclosed that Badmus is ‘fine and in her house.’

“Eniola is in her house, she is fine. Her line is busy and I guess that is why you had to call me. She is very well. I do not know if she was at the protest today but as I talk to you, Eniola is in her house,” Akindele-Bello said.
