#EndSARS: Ex-Governor Of Anambra, Jim Nwobodo Sends Warning To Buhari Over Attack On Youths

President Muhammadu Buhari has again been warned against allowing the future leaders of the nation to be wasted away.

The warning was issued to the president by a former governor of Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo, who condemned attacks on #EndSARS protesters by men of the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Army and other security agencies across the country.

The Elder statement admonished President Buhari not to take ill-advises from people in his government but should rather listen to voices of the youths and address their call to end police brutality in Nigeria. Nwobodo noted that the next generation of Nigeria must not be wasted away in such a horrible manner.

He urged the President to address the nation in other to calm the ongoing nationwide protest, adding that the army should be asked to face the nation’s major enemy and let the youths be.

Nwobodo in his statement to the president said: “Mr. President, please do not allow our next generation and most valuable assets to be wasted in this very most painful manner.

“Listen to the agitation of these youths and find a way to address them. It is time to speak out, the number of human beings, not animals but human beings, killed and are still being killed daily is heartbreaking. The solution is not to raise a counter group to attack the protesters and heighten the crisis.”

“I believe it is time to address the nation and reassure these young boys and girls that their lives are important and secure and that they have a bright future.”

Naija News understands that Nwobodo’s statement surfaced after the Nigerian Army had launched the Operation Crocodile Smile VI.

Although the Nigerian Army had said that the exercise was not targeted at protesting members.
