PHOTOS: Tanker Explodes On Otedola Bridge, Lagos

A midnight tanker explosion has rocked the Otedola Bridge area of Lagos State at around 3am.

No casualty has been confirmed as of the time of filing this report.

The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor.

LASEMA in a post on Twitter said it has responded to distress calls from the area.

“The Agency has responded to the distress calls concerning a tanker on fire at Berger along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway,” it tweeted.

It was gathered that a 40fit containerized truck loaded with fabric had a brake failure while moving inward Berger.

The truck then collided with a tanker loaded with 33000 liters of PMS which resulted in a fire outbreak.
