A mobile policeman has been reportedly shot dead by some suspected armed robbers in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Naija News understands that the incident happened at about 9 pm on Thursday, October 15 at a filling Station at Etuwewe junction along Deco Road.

It was reported that the robbers upon reaching the area, began to shot sporadically and went ahead to rob the petrol station and all its customers who came to get fuel, and thereafter attacked and killed the Mopol who was also at the scene of the incident.

The Divisional Police Officer, “B” Division, CSP Benjamin Igometi, when contacted on the phone confirmed the incident, noting that himself and his men were on their way with the lifeless body of the mobile policeman to the mortuary where it would be deposited.

On his part, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa and the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya were to make any comment as they refused to pick calls and text messages put across to them at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, three persons were reportedly killed by some unidentified militia in Kogi State on Thursday morning while residents were observing their early morning prayers, Naija News reports.
