Breaking: FG Announces Date For Reopening Of NYSC Camps

All the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps across the country have been approved to reopen on November 10.

The Federal Government announced this on Thursday morning, October 15 through the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare.

The Minister made the disclosure via a post on his verified microblogging site account today, Naija News reports. Dare assured that the full COVID-19 protocols will be enforced during the exercise.

“The Resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corpers has been approved and opens on November 10th 2020. Full COVID-19 Protocols will be enforced,” Mr Dare tweeted.

Naija News recalls that the NYSC orientation camps were shut down since March 2020 by the federal government following the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease across the country.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, has stated that the National Identity Number will soon be made mandatory for accessing government services and interventions.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami while receiving reports from the management team of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, on their activities, Naija News reports.
