Sowore “Reveals’ Sponsors Of Thugs Who Attacked Abuja Protesters

Omoyele Sowore, activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters has implied that officials/operatives under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration instigated thugs against the #ENDSARS protesters, in a bid to silence them.

Recall NaijaNews earlier reported that Nigerians protesting against police brutality in Abuja under the #EndSARS movement were today attacked by armed thugs.

Naija News gathered that the thugs armed with cutlasses invaded the protest venue at Berger junction about an hour after the #EndSARS protesters had convened.

They harassed the protesters, including passers-by, destroying vehicles parked in the area.

An unconfirmed number of the protesters sustained injuries with five cars reportedly destroyed.

Wind screens and other glasses of various protesters vehicles, were smashed by the unknown thugs.

However, in a series of tweets, Sowore said the thugs were recruited by Buhari clearly to discourage protesters from carrying on with their protests.

He opined that now that the presidency cannot use the police or army, they have resorted to using thugs.

Sowore further implied that presidency connived with the chairman of Jabi motor park to mobilise things to stop the protest.

Meanwhile,  Sowore, activist and publisher of Sohkhas opined that billionaires have been made from negotiating how to put an end to the #EndSARS protests nationwide.

Sowore made this known in a tweet today, while reacting to various reports indicating that negotiations has commenced between business leaders and some social media influencers on ways to end the #EndSARS protests.
