Pastor E.A Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has added his voice to the ongoing #EndSARS protests calling for the reform of the Nigeria Police Force.

The revered clergy in a statement on Wednesday evening via his Twitter account declared support for the protests calling on the government to end all forms of Police brutality.

He said in the statement that “Our daughters will not be able to prophesy and young men will not see visions if we don’t keep them alive.”

The statement called on the government to carry out true reforms as demanded by the people and also urged protesters to remain safe and ensure they protest within the limits of what is allowed by the constitution of the country.

Meanwhile, the Police has declared that no former member of the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) will be allowed to join the new Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit.
