#OndoDecides2020: Police Confirm Capsize Of Boat Carrying INEC Officials (Video)

A boat carrying officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and election materials has capsized in the Ilaje area of Ondo State.

The INEC officials were conveying election materials for the 2020 Ondo Governorship Election to polling units when their boat capsized in the early hours of Saturday.

A boat carrying some electoral materials to the riverine Ilaje communities of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State has capsized.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the incident, however, noted that no casualty was involved while the election materials are also intact.

He said, “It happened but it was a minor mishap because there was no casualty, and nothing happened to the election materials, everything is intact.”
