President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended by the All Progressives Congress for presenting the proposed 2021 budget on Thursday.
Buhari presented the estimated budget before the National Assembly on Thursday.
The spokesperson of the APC, Yekini Nabena, in a statement released noted that the lawmakers will speedily consider and pass the appropriation bill into law.
He noted that the passage of the bill would enable implementation by January 1 2021 as stated by the President.
According to Nabena, the Buhari government is aware of the issues faced by Nigerians since the outbreak of Coronavirus and the crash in oil prices.
The APC Spokesman added that the current administration has not be found wanting in delivering key policies, programmes and critical infrastructure projects.
Nabena listed some as railway projects, roads and the second Niger Bridge.
APC call on the Association Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to show patriotism by supporting the government’s intentions on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).
APC said the policy was to streamline and check incidence of payments to non-existent personnel and unauthorised allowances by enrolling in the IPPIS.
The party also charged ASUU to end the ongoing strike.
