Ondo: Mimiko Condemns Violence Ahead Of Governorship Election

Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, on Wednesday, condemned violence in the state ahead of the October 10 governorship election.

The Zenith Labour Party National Leader noted that the people of Ondo State are scared to attend political rallies.

He lamented that at least five persons died in recent weeks during political violence.

The former Governor stated this while speaking on in Owo Local Government Area during a ZLP rally.

He called on people in attendance to ask parties why their “members are using guns to pursue members of rival political parties.”

He further berated the use of students’ shuttle buses for election campaigns.

“Our party believes that government projects are for the benefit of the people. They should know that there is life after office.”
