Ondo 2020: Tinubu Misses Governor Akeredolu’s Mega Rally

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday missed the final mega rally of the APC in Ondo State.

Naija News reports that the Ondo governorship election will hold on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

Despite Tinubu’s absence, governors elected under the platform of the APC turned out in their numbers to show support for Rotimi Akeredolu.

Those at the mega rally include Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, his Katsina State counterpart, Aminu Masari; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, his Kebbi State counterpart, Atiku Bagudu; and Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.

Others present were Governor Sani Bello of Niger State; Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni; Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State; Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State; Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State; Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Gombe State Governor Muhammad Yahaya; and Simon Lalong of Plateau State.

The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Emmanuel Akabe; former Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State as well as serving ministers and senators were also present.

Recall that Tinubu had played an important role in the just concluded Edo State Governorship election.

The former Lagos State governor had recorded a viral video calling on Edo voters to vote Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
