Rivers: Police Disclose Identity Of Kidnapper Of Young Lawyer

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, on Tuesday noted that the command has identified the Kidnapper of the young Lawyer, Bisola Paullete Ajayi.

Recall that the 25-year-old was abducted around Rumuokwurusi, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the State.

Mukan in his statement noted that Investigation carried out revealed that the kidnappers of Bisola had earlier kidnapped a man and used his car to carry out the operation on Bisola.

The CP disclosed the development when members of the task force set up by the Nigerian Bar Association to secure the release of the young female lawyer visited him in his office.

He said, “the police have intensified efforts to ensure the unconditional release of the female lawyer.”

“In our preliminary investigation, we have discovered that she was kidnapped by men in military camouflage. Anybody can wear a military uniform. It is really unfortunate that it happened.”

“High profile kidnappings are not targeted at the Bar specifically. If there are anything that has happened on our side be rest assured that it is not deliberate not provide protection for you people. It is our responsibility to protect every citizen of this country.”

“If there are lapses in the past I would like to assure you that things are beginning to improve”

The CP assured members of the NBA that the police will protect the lives of Nigerians including lawyers.
