The Cracks Are Widening, Nigeria May Not Be One For Much Longer - Ex-Minister

A former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria, Femi Fani-Kayode, has lamented that Nigeria may not be one for much longer.

Naija News reports that the Ex-Minister who made this comment on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, cited “the cracks are widening” and “rising anger” in the country as the reasons for his claim that Nigeria may not be one for much longer.

This online news platform recalls that Nigeria marked her 60th anniversary on Thursday, October 1. In the commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration, Fani-Kayode said he was “constrained” to ask if Nigeria’s unity can be sustained.

The former minister tweeted: “Today we celebrate 60 years of independence from our former colonial masters. I wish my compatriots happy independence day but I am constrained to ask the following: can our “unity” be sustained? The cracks are widening& anger is rising. Nigeria may not be one for much longer.”

In a related development, Fani-Kayode says United States President Donald Trump and the US First Lady, Melania Trump will recover from Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Naija News had reported earlier that President Trump announced on Thursday, October 1 that he and his wife, Melania tested positive to coronavirus which has ravaged the world and kept many countries in lockdown.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted on Thursday, days after he mocked Joe Biden of always wearing “big facemask”.

Reacting to the development, Fani-Kayode who is a big fan of the US President, said Trump and Melania “will both get well and he will go on to win the November presidential election.”

The former Nigerian minister tweeted: “COVID-19 cannot stop @realDonaldTrump & @FLOTUS. They will both get well and he will go on to win the November presidential election. The storm may be rough but they shall pass through it safely & strongly. They shall prevail because God is with them & He is faithful to His own.

“First he will beat Corona, then he will spank Biden. Mark it!”
