Lagos Govt. Sack ‘Honorable Iyepe’ Over Plans To Challenge Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Government have moved to sack Honorable Abdulhakeem Abdulateef, over his declaration that he intends to run for governorship in 2023.

The Ex-Commissioner, who is now a special adviser on Religious Affairs- Islamic declared yesterday that an Awori Indigene should be given the opportunity to govern Lagos for the first time.

This Abdullateef, popularly known as  Honorable Iyepe’ said while declaring  his intention to contest the governorship election in the state in 2023.

Reacting, the Lagos State Government, through the office of the Chief Of Staff to The Speaker, tendered a termination of appointment letter to him.

In the letter, it was stated that there may be conflicting interest with the government in power, now that he has declared his intention to run for governorship.

His works, contributions during his appointment was also appreciated.
