The Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has expressed hope that Laycon (Olamilekan Agbeleshe) will pay his tax following his recent win of the 2020 Big Brother Naija reality TV show on Sunday.

The LIRS conveyed the veiled message in its congratulatory statement to Laycon on Monday after the reality TV star emerged winner of the lockdown show on Sunday.

Naija News recalls N85m is the grand prize for winning this year’s show with the prize (consisting of cash and other items) for the final winner broken down as follows: N30m cash prize, a two-bedroom apartment, a top of the range SUV, a trip to Dublin, home appliances, a trip to Dubai, one year supply of Indomie noodles, Munch It and Colgate toothpaste.

Others include a year supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller, a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League final, and a brand new android smart phone.

The LIRS in a post on its Twitter handle on Monday, congratulated the 26-year-old Laycon for the feat achieved in emerging this year’s overall winner and quickly urged him to pay his tax to the service.

“Congratulations @itsLaycon winner @BBNaija Lockdown edition. More wins!! We look forward to seeing you in Y2021 as you #payyourtax,” it wrote.
