Four Borno Ministries Fail To Account For N414m - Report

The  Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) says the federal government and military officials have questions to answer about the attack on the Borno state governor.

The ACF spoke in the wake of the repeated attacks on Professor Babagana Umara Zulum. ACF spokesman Emmanuel Yawe issued a statement after terrorists also attacked the governor’s delegation last weekend.

The Daily Trust quoted Emmanuel Yawe as saying yesterday that the attack cast doubt on the perception that the Nigerian military has the capacity to defend the country.

The Northern Leaders’ Group has expressed concern over the continuing attacks by Boko Haram despite the encouragement of the military.

The AFC said the attack on the Borno state governor came shortly after a senior army officer, Colonel CD Bako, was killed in Damboa, all in Borno State.

Yawe said: “We call on the military to be vigilant and try to regain their composure. The ACF is aware of the fact that it is being hijacked by the security forces. ”

“The federal government and the security forces must take immediate action to address the root causes of this crisis.” Said the spokesperson on behalf of the ACF.
