FG, Labour Reach Agreement, Strike Suspended
The Federal Government has reached an agreement with Labour unions in Nigeria over a nationwide strike proposed by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
Naija News reports that the Federal Government and the Labour Unions reached an agreement at exactly 2:53 am on Monday, September 28, a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) revealed.
FG Allegedly Agrees To Reverse Electricity Tariff Increment
Deregulation has reportedly been accepted as a policy by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
This was stated at a meeting which started at 8.37pm on Sunday, September 27, at the banquet hall of Aso Rock.
IGP, Adamu, Condemns Attack On Borno Governor’s Convoy
Suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist group on Sunday evening again attacked the convoy of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State along the Monguno-Maiduguri axis.
Monguno is north and about 80km drive to Maiduguri, the town hosted thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) mostly from Marte, Baga, Kukawa, Dikwa and other surrounding Local Government Areas.
Magu: FCMB Apologises To Prophet Omale Over ‘False Claims’ Of Money Transfer
First City Monument Bank‘s management has once again debunked and apologised over its earlier report of an alleged deposit of N573 million into the account of an associate of the suspended chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.
Recall that early last month that the managing director of FCMB, Adam Nuru, told the Presidential panel that N573 million was mistakenly transferred into the account of Godwin Omale.
PDP Condemns Attack On Borno Governor’s Convoy
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the attack on a security convoy in Borno State by armed men suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists.
Naija News recalls that this is coming barely 48 hours when some members of the sect ambushed the convoy of Governor Zulum along Cross Kauwa-Baga road in Borno State leaving over 30 people dead including 10 policemen and 4 soldiers.
