Shehu Sani Reacts As Boko Haram Attacks Borno Gov’s Convoy
Former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, has condemned the attack on the convoy of Borno State Government by Boko Haram members.
Naija News had earlier reported that the convoy was ambushed shortly after leaving Monguno.
It was reported that the incident led to the death of 12 policemen, 13 civilians and 5 soldiers.
The incident occurred around 2pm while the convoy was heading to Baga town ahead of government’s plan to return internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Maiduguri to Baga
Sani while reacting to the incident advised Governor Zulum to exercise great caution in areas still under control by Boko Haram and be well protected.
He condoled with the families of security agents who died in the process.
He wrote, “The attacks on the convoy of Governor Zulum by the Insurgents again is condemnable.”
“The Governor must be well protected. In view of this, he should exercise greater caution in areas still controlled by the terror group.”
“My condolences to the families of the policemen lost.”
