Gov. Wike Threatens To Sack Four First-Class Traditional Rulers In Rivers State (See List)

Governor Nyesome Wike of Rivers State has predicted the end of Nigeria’s ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to Wike while speaking on a live Television Programme in Port Harcourt on Friday, September, the end of APC has come should the party lose the Ondo State October 10 governorship election to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he belongs.

Recalling APC’s loss during the Edo State governorship election last weekend, Wike noted that the national leadership of the ruling party not happy with the development. The governor in the statement signed by Paulinus Nsirim, Commissioner for Information and Communications, stressed further that APC would do everything possible not to lose Ondo State to PDP.

He said: “Having lost Edo State, everything will be done not to lose Ondo State because they know that will mean the end of APC.

“It is such pressure that is on INEC and the security agencies now that may lead to their compromising. I fear that INEC and the security agencies may succumb. But I pray they resist it and continue to defend democracy.”

“In Ondo State, the will of the people are against them and incumbency will not work.”

Meanwhile, the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC has denied the alleged suspension Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
