2023: Zulum Is The Next President Of Nigeria – Borno Traditional Music Legend

Popular  Music Legend, Hajja Gumsu Bulama Modu has on Wednesday called on Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum, to commence preparation to contest the next presidential election in 2023.

Modu, an 80-year-old popular Kanuri female musician who has been in the traditional music industry for the past 50 years, says Governor Zulum has demonstrated quality leadership in the last one year and will be the best presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

At the 2020 tree-planting campaign held at the Borno State University premises in Maiduguri, the state capital, Modu who was called up to entertain dignitaries seized the opportunity to eulogize Governor Zulum as a suitable Presidential material in 2023.

Top government functionaries comprising commissioners, Special Advisers, amongst others, who accompanied the governor to the tree-planting ceremony, wasted no time to join the octogenarian on the dance floor as they splash her with naira notes.

“I want Zulum to become the next Nigeria President; this is because he possesses all the qualities of a good leader that Nigeria needs at this time. He has transformed Borno State in his last one year in office.

“Zulum loves the common people and cares for widows and less privileged. He is also well-schooled and can provide the much-needed solutions to Nigeria’s socio-economic and security challenges,” Modu said.

Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information, and Culture in the state, Hon Babakura Abba Jato says the clamour for Zulum to contest the next Presidential election is no news but quickly added that the governor has no intention to contest for president.

“Hajja Gumsu is merely expressing the feelings of the entire country, she’s not just talking on her own volution, If you go to Facebook, Instagram and all over the country, you will see that almost everybody is unanimous that Zulum will be a good presidential material.

“But one thing is certain, Prof. Zulum has no intentions, and he has never made anyone say he wants to contest for president. Whoever is saying this (Zulum for President) is doing so on their own volution but personally, this is the pulse within Nigeria.”
