Gov Samuel Ortom Loses Two Aides

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has reportedly lost two of his aides.

According to the report reaching Naija News at this time, Jerome Torshimbe, the special adviser to Governor Ortom on Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs is dead.

Naija News recalls that Torshimbe who was said to have died on Monday, September, 14 after a brief illness happens to be one of the four persons reappointed as special advisers by Governor Ortom in June this year.

Naija News understands that the deceased had fallen sick three days after celebrating his 64 years old birthday.

Ortom had earlier appointed Torshimbe as chairman, Health Services Management Board, and thereafter Special Adviser, Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in 2018, Naija News understands.

The report confirmed also that the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Famous Adejo, has died.

Reacting to the sad event, Governor Ortom said that he knew the late Torshimbe three decades ago when they were council chairmen from 1990 to 1993 and had worked closely since then.

The governor expressed his sadness over the deaths of his two aides.
