‘Give Me Biafra Or Kill Me’ – Nnamdi Kanu Cries Out
The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reiterated his earlier stance that he wants the republic of Biafra or death.
Naija News reports that Kanu, who is the director of Radio Biafra is agitating for the Republic of Biafra. His group, the IPOB which is also seeking to break away from Nigeria had since been proscribed by the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, yesterday, Kanu quoted Patrick Henry words which state “Give me liberty, or give me death” and stated that those were the words uttered by Patrick Henry that singularly energized the American quest for Independence.
The IPOB leader added in the tweet that through Patrick Henry, America the course of time was propelled by those words to free itself from Britain, adding that he and IPOB members are standing Biafra, which means that a referendum for the republic of Biafra is called and Biafra republic proclaimed or his life should be taken away.
Kanu tweeted: “Give me liberty, or give me death”- those were the words uttered by Patrick Henry that singularly energized the American quest for Independence. In the course of time, America was propelled by those words to FREE itself from Britain.
“We’re now standing on #Biafra. Hear that!” the IPOB leader tweeted.
