The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, reacted to the death of Sadiya Wamakko, the daughter of Aliyu Wamakko, former Sokoto State Governor.

President Buhari in a statement on Sunday, September 13 by his Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, expressed his heartfelt over the sad development.

The tweet reads; “President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed deep sadness over the death of Sadiya, daughter of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on Thursday.”

Naija News recalls that Sadiya was confirmed dead on Thursday, September 10 at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.

Sadiya who died at the age of 23 had reportedly suffered complications from childbirth. She has, however, been buried according to Islamic rites, Naija News reports.
