Boko Haram: Mailafia Reveals What Will Stop Him From Exposing More Secrets

The embattled former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia has been released by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Mailafia honoured a third invitation from the secret police when he showed up in their Jos office in Plateau State on Monday 14th September, Naija News reports.

As earlier reported, Mailafia has been in the spotlight recently over his claims that a sitting Northern governor is the commander of the Boko Haram terrorist group.

This he stated during an interview with a private radio station in the country. His claims have already led to grilling on two different occasions by the Department of State Services (DSS) and Monday was the third.

Hundreds of supporters of the former Deputy Governor of the CBN stormed the DSS office on Monday chanting solidarity songs but were, however, prevented from gaining entrance into the DSS compound.

Mailafia who arrived the DSS office around 11am together with his wife, Margaret, and his lawyer, Yakubu Bawa, among others, was not released until around 2.55 pm.

Speaking after his release, Mailafia told his growing supporters that his latest invitation was uncalled for and expressed hope that he won’t be summoned again.

He said, “Thank you all for being here. Many have said the worst things and nobody invited them. I hope this will be the last time I will be invited to the DSS office. All that I am saying is that the killings must stop.”
