The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Wednesday suspended an aide to Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Naija News reports that Arc. Stanley Buba, a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Development Control to Gov Sule, was suspended after an appearance before the House.

His suspension was to enable an investigation into the activities of the state Urban Development Board (UDB).

Speaker of the house, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi announced that the decision to suspend the governor’s aide was for him to step aside during the period of the investigation on the activities of the NUDB to avoid interference.

“Based on the resolution of the house, it is resolved that the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Development Control, Arc. Stanley Buba should step aside to enable the committee carry out its duties effectively without interference” he said.

Hon. Abdullahi also inaugurated a six-man investigative committee to probe UDP.

The panel include: Hon David Maiyaki (PDP- Karu/Gitata)-Chairman, Hon Mohammed Okpoku ( APC- Udege/Loko)Deputy Chairman,Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara (APC-Awe South), Hon Daniel Ogazi (APC-Kokona East).

Others include Hon Abdullahi Angibi (APC Lafia Central) and Hon Mohammed Bello Isa (APC- Uke/Karshi)as members while the Secretary of the Committee is the Deputy Clerk to the House, Ibrahim Musa.

They were given three months to work and submit their report to the House.
