Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, KOSIEC has disclosed the date for Local Government election in Kogi State.

According to a statement by the Chairman of the state electoral body, Mr Mamman Nda Eri, the elections would hold on 12th December 2020.

Eri disclosed this on Wednesday, September 9 at a stakeholders meeting held in Lokoja, the state capital. The chairman boasted that the election would be free, fair and credible.

Eri while unveiling the timetable for the council poll noted that KOSIEC has put in place all necessary measures for the success of the elections.

Meanwhile, the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to postpone the Edo State Governorship election.
