1. COVID-19: FG Releases Timetable, Guidelines For International Flights In Nigeria

The federal government of Nigeria on Friday released the schedule for the resumption of international flights in and out of Nigeria. This follows the earlier announcement by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 on the partial resumption of international flights as from 5th September 2020.

2. Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 156 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday evening, 4th September 2020, confirmed 156 new cases of Coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria. The new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency.

3. Buhari Must Revert Fuel Price To ₦121 Per Litre – NLC Says

Leaders of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) have frowned at the recent increase in the pump price of petrol from N121 to N143 per litre, describing the hike as exploiting Nigerians to enrich a few oil marketers. National President of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, who made the demand via an official press statement accused the Federal Government of complicity in the price increase, called for immediate review of the action. He also insisted on the renewed call for a national conversation on the management of all oil assets within the country.

4. Primate Ayodele Releases Fresh Prophecies, Says Buhari Will Dump Tinubu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will dump the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a statement on Friday, the popular cleric prophecised that the international communities would be involved in the rift between Buhari and Tinubu.

5. Ondo 2020: Why Akeredolu Will Win Gov’ship Election – Mai Mala Buni

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni, has said the party will win the Ondo State Governorship election. Speaking with newsmen after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, he insisted that only his party can win the election.

6. Buhari Makes New Appointment

Mr Ibrahim Mairiga has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Executive Secretary, Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB). The development was disclosed by Folasade Yemi-Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), in a statement released through Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, Director Information, Office of the HOCSF on Friday in Abuja.

7. What Forensic Audit Will Do To NDDC – Godswill Akpabio

The forensic audit of the Niger Development Commission (NDDC), will provide “a strong base upon which a new NDDC will emerge”, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has said. Naija News reports that the minister gave the assurance while inaugurating the Field Forensic Auditors Thursday, where he added that the eight Forensic Audit Firms were cleared by the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) based on their technical competencies and financial compliance.

8. Federal Government Hails UK Court’s Verdict On P&ID

President Muhammadu Buhari led administration has praised the verdict of British court which nullifies the payment of over $9 billion to a foreign company. Recall that in August 2019, a British judge ordered the Nigerian government to pay $9 billion in assets to the firm.
