International Flights: NCAA Confirms Lagos, Abuja Airports Resumption Date

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA has notified all aviation stakeholders and foreign airlines operating in Nigeria the date for resumption of flights at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, and Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

According to the letter with ref NCAA/DG/AIR/11/16/255 which copy was made available to newsmen on Wednesday, September 2, the two airports are now approved to resume international flight operations as from September 5, 2020.

Naija News understands that the letter which was signed by Director-General of the NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, noted that other airports would be gradually reopened in due time.

NCAA, however, reiterated that the two approved airports would still ensure total compliance with the existing COVID-19 protocols in their operation.

The letter reads, “Other international airports namely Mallam Aminu International Airport, Kano (DNKN), Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa (DNPO), and Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu (DNEN), will remain closed to international flights until a new date is determined and announced.”

Meanwhile, former Nigeria Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said he warned Nigerian against voting President Muhammadu Buhari into office in 2015.
