Govt. Orders Schools In Anambra State To Resume September 7

Schools in Anambra State have been ordered by the government to resume as from Monday, 7th September 2020.

The government in a statement on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Basic Education, Nwabuezue Nwankwo declared that Junior secondary school students will resume on Monday, September 7.

The primary school pupils, as well as students in senior secondary classes, will resume for the third term of the 2019/2020 academic session on the 14th of September.

The statement directed students in the boarding system to resume the weekend before the actual resumption date while parents are to provide alcohol-based hand sanitizers and face masks for their children and wards.

Schools on their part, are expected to ensure compliance with all COVID-19 protocols and monitor health developments of the students.
