Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare has reacted to the sudden death of former Flying Eagles goalkeeper, John Felagha.

Felagha died on Sunday in Senegal at the prime age of 26, Naija News earlier reported.

Reacting to the death of the former Nigerian youth international who represented his country at the National U17 and U20 levels, Minister Dare noted that his demise came as a rude shock.

The Minister in a statement on Monday, prayed God to comfort his family and friends.

“The sad passing of John Felagha, ex-Flying Eagles goalkeeper, came to us all as a rude shock. He represented Nigeria at the 2013 Africa Youth Championship (AYC) & 2015 U20 FIFA World Cup. He was coaching future stars before his sudden demise. May God comfort his family & friends,” his statement read.
