You Are Incompetent, Religiously Biased - CAN Tells Buhari

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, has listed atrocities been committed by Christian believers, most especially it leaders in Nigeria.

According to Ayokunle, money has become the god of many followers of Christ, especially church heads in the country. He added that sexual immorality, gluttony, and financial impropriety widespread in churches was due to lack of discipline.

According to the CAN president, separating unbelievers from believers is no longer an easy thing to do as Christian has yoked with the non-believers.

Rev. Ayokunle was quoted to have said this while speaking at the ongoing virtual convention of the church.

He said, “The church is in a state where lack of discipline has led to many instances of sexual immorality, gluttony, financial impropriety, laziness, court cases, etc,”

“The behaviour of Christians has led to the name of God being maligned, with Obscene dressing and all forms of impurities happening among God’s children,” he added.

According to him, as it is now, most people who bear the name Christians can not be entrusted with any noble assignment, adding that “There appears to be no difference between them and the unbelievers.

“Money, in particular, has become the god of some ]if not many] Christians, including Church leaders! What a shame to the Church!”

In another news, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has boycotted the 60th Virtual Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Naija News reports.
